This wooden slatted composter takes the shape of a beehive and is an efficient way to create beautiful, rich compost. Measuring 80cm tall by 74cm deep by 74cm wide, the composter will hold approximately 242 litres of material, with the gaps in between slats allowing constant aeration of the compost. This allows for quicker breakdown of organic material, helping create the black gold so beloved by gardeners.
The bottom slat at the front of the composter can be removed, allowing easy access to the best compost at the base of your pile. The roof of the beehive can be easily lifted up and held open by a prop slat; perfect for when topping up or giving the contents a turn. The composter is treated with a clear preservative.
