This high quality heavy duty squirrel proof suet fat ball bird feeder is designed to exclude squirrels and large birds (such as Pigeons) from monopolising all of the tasty treats you leave out. A second layer of squirrel protection comes in the form of a plastic baffle that the feeder hangs from. The smooth dome surface provides no grip for squirrels and the clear finish means your view of the feeding birds is unimpeded.
Finished in an attractive gun metal grey, the heavy duty feeder features a lid that is opened with a 'twist and lift' mechanism - effectively locking it in position to stop squirrels prising it open. The large hanging hook measures 17cm x 14cm (this retracts into the feeder body when not in use if required).
Please note, there is a knack for opening and closing the lid - it needs to be held very slightly off the base of the lid cradle to enable the locking 'teeth' to be slid into position. Please see the final trio of pictures for an illustration. If the lid is attempted to be closed while it is fully inserted to the cradle, it will not turn and so is not shut properly.
